The Progressive Librarians Guild UH Manoa Student Chapter is a chapter of the official Progressive Librarians Guild, which started in New York City in 1990. The Progressive Librarians Guild aims to call out systems of oppression and injustice in librarianship and empower the voices of those excluded from positions of power. Check out their website here: http://www.progressivelibrariansguild.org/index.shtml

The PLG UH Student Chapter began out of an interest in opening up discussion about issues of social justice, diversity, and activism in librarianship, and how we can be agents of positive change.
